What we're looking for
As an Onboarding Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring merchants and suppliers are onboarded efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
This role sits at the intersection of operations, compliance, and partner experience. You will manage onboarding workflows, handle business and financial information, and ensure data accuracy across systems - directly impacting partner activation speed and overall platform integrity.
Responsibilities
- Onboarding Support: Support merchant and supplier onboarding, including account setup forms, document collection, contract preparation and execution, and handover to internal teams for activation.
- KYC Coordination: Liaise with the Compliance team on KYC/KYB requirements, follow up on missing information, and ensure all required checks are completed before handover.
- Documentation & Data Accuracy: Collect and review onboarding documents to ensure completeness and accuracy, and maintain proper records in internal systems.
- Tracker Management: Keep onboarding trackers and internal systems up to date with accurate partner information and onboarding status.
- Cross-Team Coordination: Work with Sales, Compliance, Product, and Support teams to follow up on requirements and resolve onboarding dependencies.
- Process Adherence: Follow onboarding processes and SOPs consistently, and flag any issues or gaps in workflows.
- Partner Communication: Communicate clearly with partners on onboarding requirements, outstanding items, and next steps.
Qualifications
- Strong Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy when handling data, documentation, and confidential information
- Experience with Onboarding/KYC: Familiarity with merchant, supplier, or customer onboarding processes in fintech, payments, or financial services is highly preferred
- Process-Driven Mindset: Comfortable working within structured workflows while maintaining consistency and compliance
- Data & Systems Proficiency: Experience using spreadsheets, CRMs, and internal tools to manage records and workflows
- Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple onboarding cases simultaneously without compromising quality
- Communication Skills: Clear and professional written and verbal English communication
- Reliability & Accountability: Strong follow-through and ownership of tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a high-growth startup environment with evolving processes
